Band 11 Frequency Modulator. Same as MD3/13 except 10.7MHz
output level increased to -ldBm; input sensi tivity of APS
circuitry increased; no arrangements for mounting C02/23.
Power requirements same as MD3/13. BMM 4U printed circuit

Frequency Modulator. This modulator produces a digital
version of an FM signal. The output frequency = 0.25 clock
frequency with a peak deviation of :to.039 (:tl/2s6) clock
frequency.

76kHz DPSK Modulator. This unit accepts serial data and
clock inputs, and generates a 76kHz differential phase
shift keyed signal. Four isolated outputs are provided
which with appropriate external series resistors are
suitable for bridging across 7sQ or 600Q circuits. Data
rate can be set for 50, 110 or 160 baud. These three
options are covered by the use of different values of
resistors.

676 kbit/s P.S.K. Modulator. Accepts a 676 kbit/s HDB3
input (e.g. 2-channel NICAM) and modulates the data onto a
70 MHz carrier at +5 dBm. The modulation system is Tamed
Frequency Modulation; a form of PSK. The equipment
comprises two unsupported printed boards, and is intended
to be used with a DM4/s demodulator. Power requirements

PCM Jitter Modulator. Produces a 6.336 MHz bitstream,
which can be jittered by an external modulation source. It
is used with a modified GE4/10 pattern generator. A
jittered clock at 2.112 MHz is available, allowing an 8.448
MHz jittered bitstream to be produced in conjunction with a
Plessey Multiplexer. Power requirements +5 V; :t12 V.

2048 kbit/s PSK Modulator. Accepts two quadrature base
band PSK inputs from CE2/31 and modulates the data onto a
7.5 MHz carrier. Power requirements +5 V, 270 mA; -5 V,
180 mA. 4 U PCB mounted in a CHl/64A chassis. Parent
