30 Channel Coder. This unit consists of a general purpose
microprocessor controlled logic unit which is configured by
appropriate software as the sending end of a digital
signalling system. It accepts as input up to 30 channels
(bits) of parallel data plus, optionally, one SO bit per
second serial signal (in the standard Automatic Fault
Reporter/Monitoring and Information Centre format). These
are coded into a single 160 bit per second data plus clock
signal sui table for transmission over a 76kHz subcarrier
system. An adaptive priority system ensures the fastest
response to a change in the parallel data. Normally used
with the CD3/2S decoder. Power requirements +SV at
typically 600mA. 4U S7 way double sided unsupported board

Timecode Waveform Coder. Encodes 26 bit parallel BCD data
with sign to Biphase Mark serial timecode similar to EBU
timecode. Used to encode static times for serial
transmission to remote displays. Two similar encoders are
incorporated in this unit. Power requirements +12V 10mA.

Timecode Waveform Coder. Encodes parallel 26 bit time
information to biphase mark serial timecode. Used to
encode time over a wide range of timecode frame rates and
in both forward and reverse directions. Power requirements

Decimal Binary Coder. Any single (high-level) input from a
range of 64 inputs is encoded to a 6-bit parallel binary
output. If more than one input is applied simultaneously

portable version of the NICAM 3 coder is treated to
withstand shocks and vibration, and is contained in a
protective box. It includes vibration mounts and a
connector panel to bring required I/Os to front of unit.
