Near-Instantaneous Companding to 10-bits per sample. The
companded sample and companded data are then formed into
special data in a lmsec frame structure, closely related to
that agreed for DBS, MAC Packet Systems. Power
requirements 240Vac. PN3/54. Sub-units PS4/44, PS2/275,
CD2S/35, FL4/75, C08S/l7, GE2/l7, UN26/96. RD 1987.
2048kbit/s T.F.M. Coder. This unit accepts a 2048kbit/sec
HDB3 input, and generates the quadrature modulation
waveforms required by the MD4/8 modulator. It is intended
for use with MD4/8, DM4/l0 and CD3/56. Power requirements
t5V.

Matrix Remote Control Coder. This equipment is to be used
for the coding and transmission of data to primarily
control the remote selection of 25 cross points on a vision
matrix. The data may be transmitted as balanced or
unbalanced over a line, or may be reverse fed on a vision
circuit the data in this case being modulated on a carrier.

Timecode Waveform Encoder. The unit contains a 24 hour
counter chain which can be loaded from an external input or
will count from an internal crystal oscillator. The input
of the counter is converted to serial and coded into
Biphase Mark to EBU Timecode Specification. The user and
unassigned bits can also be inserted at inputs to the unit.
The frequency of the output waveform is crystal controlled
and can be locked to an external 12.5Hz reference. 4U BMM
unsupported card. DD 1977. DDMI 7.415(79).
Matrix Remote Control Coder. This equipment is to be used
for the coding and transmission of data to primarily
control the remote selection of 25 source crosspoints on a
vision matrix. The data is in serial form and may be
transmitted as balanced or unbalanced over a line or may be
reverse fed on a vision circuit, the data in this case
being modulated on a carrier. 2 x 4u BMM unsupported cards

Serial Data Coder. This card accepts the output of the
UN23/656 Control panel interface card and generates serial
balanced data together with data modulated on a high
frequency carrier sui table for reverse feed over a video
cable

Serial Data Coder. This card accepts as its input parallel
data and generates serial data. It also decodes its serial
data and provides outputs to drive seven segment displays
direct to indicate the number represented by the parallel
data input. This card together with the UN23/6s5 Control
panel interface and the MD2/511 form the CD2L/s16 Matrix
