UHF Receiver. This is a grade 2 receiver which provides
one audio and two video outputs. Features include a speci-
ally designed Surface Acoustic Wave IF filter and demodu-
lator which ensures low distortion and good telext perfor-
mance. Tuning is synthesised with remote control avail-
able. Option for seven video O/p if required, RCl/Sl2A.

280 Mbit Optical Fibre Receiver. Experimental equipment
for the digital transmission of television signals over a
fibre optic cable. This equipment can be used as a single
or dual channel receiver. The input bit-rate for single
channel use is 140 Mbit/s, for dual channel use it is 280

Datacast Receiver. A Datacast Adapter receives a given
Datacast service from a U.H.F. television transmission.
The Datacast service is presented as an RS232 signal for
connection
to
an
external
unit.
The
required
Datacast
service is selected either by external or internal switches
or under external computer control. Encrypted transmissions
will be catered for. Power requirements 240 V a.c. !8 %,

U.H.F. Tuner. Receives television transmissions on
channels 21 to 69 inclusive and produces 2 x 1 V, 7S Q
video outputs. The design has been optimised for teletext
reception. No sound output is available. The tuner is
synthesised so as to achieve stable performance and ease of
operation. Power requirements +S V, 100 mA; -12 V, 100 mA;
+12 V, 180 mA; 40 V, 1 mAl PCB 19S mm x 9S mm. Parent

UHF Tuner. This unit combines a synthesised UHF tuner and
a suitable mains power supply. The tuner is controlled via
the I2C bus, using an on-board microprocessor. An
interface to the CD3S/SS0 Datacast Decoder is available.
