Tape Transport Control Uni t. Forms part of tape machine
synchronising equipment and derives tape transport control
signals from various error signals to synchronise a tape
machine to a master machine. Also allows the transport to
be controlled by remote inputs (Play, Stop and Wind) to the
Floppy ~isk Field Store. To store a low resolution
monochrome field on a single-sided, single density floppy
disk. It handles a 6 bit signal samples at 8MHz, with 2
bits/sample available for other information. It is
microprocessor controlled, and requires a suitable field
store to provide and receive the stored data. The mother
board conforms to the BBC Z80 bus structure. Power

Video Tape Editing Control Equipment. This equipment will
control 3 video tape machines (1 edit and 2 playback) so
that edits can be rehearsed and executed. It uses time
code signals recorded on all machines to time the edit
points. The equipment comprises an electronics crate and a
control panel for each machine. There is also an 'events'
system comprising an electronics crate and control panel.

Two Machine Edit Control Equipment. The equipment controls
various functions on two Ampex VPR2 video tape recorders to
provide a two machine edit control system. The Edit
machine uses the built-in Ampex edit control circuitry.
Editrace controls the playback machine (parking, edit
preview) and starts and synchronises the Edit machine.
Power requirements 240V a.c. mains. PN3A/s3C. Sub-units
Timecode Tape Synchroniser. Used to synchronise a tape
machine to a master machine using timecode from the master
and timecode recorded on the synchronised machine. The
equipment contains sufficient storage to hold 99 offsets
contains an interface card COs/ 507, to suit the machine
being controlled. Power requirements 240 V ac mains.
