adjusting the slew-rate of signal transitions acco rding
the angle of the hand. Information on the angles of hands
is fed to the unit via a microprocessor bus. Power

editing equipment to update decoded timecode when the tape

CSO Matte Processor. This uni t processes the RGB
foreground signals so as to generate the advanced CSO key
waveform. Key colour suppression is available and operates
on all three separation signals so as to matte the
background areas to black. The matting can be controlled
remotely. The key colour can be any of the six primary or
secondary axes. A luminance is also generated for use in
Supersedes UN26/523. DD 1980.
Video Processing Unit. This unit is electrically similar
to the UN26/534 but does not contain an internal power
supply. when used with VIDIPRINT it will allow a message
(such as a Reuters feed, or from a VDU keyboard) to be
displayed over a picture on a video monitor. This
displayed message is set in a box, the background of which
may be varied from full picture to black level. Power

for control of a SE3/506 split screen switch. Also

Picture Store Output Processor Unit. Digital output
processing unit. Accepts two 10-bit wide data signals (W
and X) and connects them to outputs 1 and 2 or 2 and 1
respectively. A third output can be selected as connected
to either output 1 or 2. Provision is made on the board to
allow the data to be replaced by either a preset data word
or one transmitted to the unit. Designed to operate at
12MHz. Coding positions: 1, 45, 51. Power requirements

Digital Blanking Unit. This unit takes in a digitally
encoded colour television signal (Luminance, and
Multiplexed Chrominance) and blanks it in response to a
1 bit control signal. The rise and fall times of the
blanking transitions conform to the system I specification.
