Video Processing Unit. This unit accepts video in and
outputs encoded and RGB video with teletext inserted. It
accepts teletext and After Hours Syncs from the Data Store
and Character Generator Unit UN27/507. A mixed syncs
output is also provided. Power requirements +5V at 120mA,

Serialiser Unit. The unit serialises a 6-bit input signal.
The input is accepted at 11.456 Mword/s, together with a
11.456MHz clock from which a 68.736MHz clock is generated.
Inputs are at TTL levels. Two outputs of the 68 Mbit/s
serialised signal are provided, each having 75 ohm drive
capability and being of standard level in the CMI interface
code format. The unit forms part of 68 Mbit/s multiplexing
equipment CD4M/504. Power requirements +12V, +5V, -5V,

Video Tributary Unit. Unit asynchronously multiplexes a
digital video signal with other digital signal. The video
signals is accepted in 6-bit parallel form with 4fsc clock
and 2fsc enable, all at balanced ECL levels. It is
inserted into another 6-bit signal, of nominal work rate
11.456 Mword/s, which is accepted and output at TTL levels.
A small capacity of signalling is provided. The unit forms
part of equipment CD4M/504 which multiplexes together
digital video and other signals to produce an output signal
at 68 Mbit/s. Power requirements +5 V, -5 V at current to

Sound Tributary Unit. Unit asynchronously mul tiplexes a
676 kbit/s 2-channel digital audio signal with other
digital signals. The audio signal is accepted in
partially-decoded form from associated unit UN26/585 as 2
data lines with a 676kHz clock, all at TTL levels. It is
inserted into a 6-bit signal, of nominal word rate 11.456
Mword/s, which is accepted and output at TTL levels. A
small capacity for signalling is provided. Power
